If you're a mom, you're in the right place!

For years, I have been helping people improve their lives through better nutrition. But it wasn't until my time working for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) that I fell in love with helping moms and babies the most!

I've worked in our traditional healthcare system, and I know the gaps. These days women receive minimal support, education, and encouragement around pregnancy and postpartum. You might not see your OBGYN until you are 12 weeks pregnant, but that is a whole THREE months of being pregnant and not having support from a healthcare provider, not to mention the most critical window of development.

Then when you do get to see the doctor, you get about 15 minutes with them. That's not nearly enough time to sit with you to truly understand you and your needs. You probably want someone who you can reach out to whenever you have questions, someone you can trust to give you information that is credible so you don't have to go looking up random Google information, someone who will actually take the time to listen to you.

For mamas who are trying to conceive, they want nothing more than to hold their baby in their arms and expand their family. Traditional clinical fertility treatments are incredibly expensive and can take up precious time that you may not have. Unfortunately, fertility dietitians are not the first thing that come to a couple's mind, even with all the evidence supporting nutrition preconception in both men and women.

I saw this need. I want to give moms the care they deserve. And that's why I started Alex Gardner Nutrition. Every single mom is unique, every single pregnancy is unique, and every single baby is unique. That is why you probably want someone who will create a unique plan just for you.

I've had the training to help mamas JUST LIKE YOU! In addition to a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition, I completed a 1 year supervised practice internship with a heavy focus on maternal and child health. I then took that knowledge to the next level by completing my Master's in Public Health as a funded Graduate Trainee in Maternal and Child Nutrition and became a Community Health Education Specialist. I realized in my time helping mothers, that there was also a great need for lactation support, so I became a Certified Lactation Counselor to help meet that need.
